Brilliant results begin with MicroFine Droplet Technology. At the heart of this innovation is the 1,536-nozzle printhead, which produces 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution or up to 1.44 million microscopic dots per inch-nearly 40% higher than 1440 x 720 dpi. Combined with a 6-color, bi-level ink system, the BJC-8500 printer dramatically reduces graininess, produces greater contrast, and achieves richer tonality with 17 levels of gradation. Canon’s unique P-POP technology applies an instant-drying ink optimizer before applying the ink for exceptional water-resistant print quality on plain paper. The BJC-8500 printer handles paper sizes from 4" x 6" up to 13" x 19" and loads up to 600 sheets for comps, digital proofs, large-format desktop publishing and other professional jobs.
